On my Trip to California - one thing on my list that I HAD to do was this: the famed Golden Gate Bridge walk.  The friend I went with, first of all wasn't a huge fan of the bridge, which....kind of blew my mind - I mean how could ANYBODY have such apathy towards such an AMERICAN icon! I mean SERIOUSLY!?! You might as well hate apple pie and baseball....and freedom!!  I digress.....since she wasn't a huge fan, she didn't walk the whole thing with me.  NOT I! I was bound and determined to walk the entire mile across.  After all, my parents met at a military base that use to be right at the base of the GGB - so in a way, it's part of my history! But walking the entire thing gave me more of an opportunity to take more pictures.....and she and her sister were able to come pick me up on the other side - so we since she turned around halfway, we ended up walking the same distance. WIN!
