Groupon can be your friend (or a local equivalent)!

I was taking summer classes at that time, and one of my roommates found a deal to go scuba diving at a local quarry (yep...in the Mid-west...they do exist).  Needless to say - I. WAS. STOKED!  We all were, especially one of my roommates who's certified (and is fully certified instructor...pretty much the highest level of scuba you can be) as she was then able to share her passion in life with all of us.   



I wish I could say the experience was fantastical....however, it was a little more nerve-wrecking than I had anticipated.  Luckily I wasn't the only one who was a little freaked out, one of the girls I went was pretty much in the same spot that I was on this.  I was kinda disappointed about how freaked-out I was....argh...shame on me!  However, there is no denying that it was epic experience, and  I think if I were ever in a tropical place where the underwater sights were a little more...um... exhilarating...I would do it again....which might happen when I visit that friend (Rachel) down in Mexico this fall!!
